  • Pretty Blues isn't going to be available as a physical CD. You'll be able to download it for free of course, but if you want it as the piece of art and experience I intended it to be, you'll want the poetry book. Instead of just giving you a bunch of mp3s, I got with an amazing artist - my buddy Sean Norvet:
    seannorvet.blogspot.com
    www.twitter.com#!/snorvet
Together, we've created something I'm incredibly proud of. The above are just a few pages of a 30 page book with every lyric to every song on Pretty Blues, alongside drawings and mixed media pieces by my man. It's beautiful. The book is super limited edition and stitched together by hand, thanks to another friend, Daniel Williams:

Purchasing the book guarantees you a download code for a bonus song not available with the free download of Pretty Blues (and it's a good one).
...Steadily trying to push the envelope the only way I know how.

Includes unlimited streaming of Pretty Blues via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

about

I remember reveling in school assignments as a kid that involved creative writing or poetry. I remember not being scared whatsoever, to formulate and share my eleven year old thoughts on love and life. I believe I have my dad to thank for that. As much as he influenced (directly and indirectly) my views on politics, relationships, society, sports, and a multitude of other things, I'm sure; I credit him and am most grateful for how his sharing his poetry with me has shaped me. I learned from the toughest man that many have ever met, that it's okay to have a "soft side." That it's okay to cry. That it's okay to be in love, even when it's killing you. Despite his condition, my dad still writes to this day, and he's still as excited as ever to share. Even though his life didn't map out at all how he envisioned, he's somehow managed to keep his poetry amorous and positive - a feat that's entirely beyond me. My dad always wanted to have his poetry published, and in an alternate universe where I'm rich and have nothing but time to edit and piece it together for him, I fulfill his dream. But in this universe, I assemble my silly little book of poems in honor of my motivation, my exemplar, my father.
